Harvest changed how it charges for the platform. Your price depends on how your firm actually uses it, not just how many seats you buy. There's no single figure we can give you here, so we built a calculator that gives you yours instead. Put your team size and usage in below and see the real cost. Then keep reading for what changed, and what we think you should do about it.
What's Actually Changed With Harvest Pricing
Harvest was acquired by Bending Spoons in 2025. Bending Spoons is a Milan-based company that buys established software products, Evernote, Meetup, Vimeo, WeTransfer and Eventbrite among them, and re-engineers how they're run: pricing, technology, and often headcount. Since their acquisition of Harvest, the flat per-seat price most people remember has turned into a base fee plus usage charges stacked on top.
The Harvest Teams plan starts at USD$9 per seat per month annual ($11 monthly), and the Enterprise plan begins at USD$14 per seat per month annual ($17.50 monthly). On top of that, now Harvest bills for usage beyond a base allowance: invoices, active projects, active clients, active tasks. Pick Flex and usage stacks on your seat cost. Pick Unlimited and it's folded into one fixed fee instead. Either way, the seat price on the pricing page is the floor. Not the ceiling.
Here's what that actually looks like for the firms we talk to:
Harvest just restructured their fees and they're going up like 10 times for us.
– Civil engineering firm, Harvest customer for 10+ years
So the price jumped from $1,000 USD to $12,000 USD dollars. So if they are paying that much they might, you know, just find something that gives them more value.
– Accountant advisor, 150-person consulting firm
We are currently with Harvest. We've been with them for about three years now. We had about a month or so ago now a renewal email came out and our price was going to go up substantially and so that kind of got us looking for something that can grow with us.
– Architecture firm, Harvest customer for 3+ years
None of these firms changed how they worked. Harvest changed how it charges for the same work.
Calculate your Harvest Pricing
Harvest was built to track time and send invoices. That's it. Usage fees are billed on projects, clients, tasks and invoices, exactly the things a growing consulting firm racks up more of every quarter. The bigger you get, the worse the model treats you.
What consulting firms actually need, beyond time tracking
Harvest tracks time and sends invoices, but beyond that it has some clear limitations.
There's no pipeline or CRM to connect a proposal to the project it becomes. There's no resourcing to see who's on the bench, who's overloaded, or where a skills gap is about to hit a deadline. There's no revenue forecasting to manage cashflow. There's no utilization or projected margin reporting either, which is exactly what a firm needs to track once it's trying to grow profitably rather than just log hours.
Projectworks was built for the firm that's outgrowing all of that at once. Pipeline, resourcing, forecasting, invoicing and reporting, in one platform, built specifically for consulting, engineering and architecture firms.
One firm that made the switch put it simply:
"We outgrew Harvest, and Projectworks is just what we need. We needed a solution that was simple for the team to use. We've had positive feedback from the whole business since adopting Projectworks."
