It's the end of September and expenses got a lot of love this month, with a couple of big changes you can start using today and more on the way! We've also made updates across financial reporting, resourcing, HubSpot, and invoicing, dive in to see what's new.

No Expense Spared 🎯
Submitting or managing expenses at your firm? You’ll want to know about all of the new and upcoming upgrades to this experience.
- CSV Expense Import is now available for everyone - You can create expenses in bulk straight from your file. This is great if you manage a lot of expenses in a different system and want to upload relevant records into Projectworks fast ⚡. Keep an eye out for full expense import integration in the future!
- Multi-line Expenses are in beta - You can now opt in to try expense claims with multiple lines per claim. Each expense associated to project and budget independently to support a smoother, more convenient workflow, it just makes sense.
- Coming soon: We are continuing work on expenses to bring you enhanced automatic line creation, along with attachment and supplier management, and AI receipt extraction!
Your feedback on how you're liking these enhancements will also shape what’s coming next, so please keep this coming.
Clearer Labels for Invoiced and Recognized Revenue
We've tightened up some language in our financial reporting so it's clear whether a figure shows what you've invoiced, or what you've recognized as revenue. We know that on fixed-fee, retainer, and prebilled work those numbers can differ and the new labeling make it obvious which one you're looking at.
Your data and calculations haven't changed, only how they're named.
This is the first step toward more comprehensive Revenue Recognition capabilities, for customers who need to track earned revenue separately from invoicing.

Have you Switched Over Yet?
We've redesigned the Resourcing experience in Projectworks to make it simpler, faster, and more intuitive and now is a great time to check it out.
The redesign includes bulk shifting (which lets you move resourcing forward or backward by multiple days, weeks, or months in a single action), undo and redo, comments on resourcing slots and more.
If you’ve already switched over, we’re continuing to add to the experience, so it’s worthwhile checking out what’s been added in September.
Nominate HubSpot Deal Stages for Auto-sync
You can now nominate specific HubSpot deal stages for the auto-sync. This allows you to exclude specific deal stages from the auto-sync, and only pull updates to the HubSpot deal linked projects on the stages you choose. Keep your projects and deals in sync the way that suits you the best!

Specific Budgets Can Now Be Excluded
If you have budgets for internal overheads or milestones you might not want them included in your invoice budget tables. You can now enable this feature in your System Invoice Settings
Once enabled, you will have the ability to choose budgets to exclude when you create or edit an invoice.
