Projectworks Product Update: April 2026

This month we caught April Fools fever and dreamed up ‘Timeless Mode' as a way to help you with all your time problems. Before we got too carried away though, there was an exciting pace to the new features and value added to Projectworks this month. Don’t sleep on the BambooHR integration, bulk expense import or monthly view of Resourcing by Availability. Plus register to join us virtually in May for all things AI and consulting, it’s going to be a great discussion!

Use BambooHR? You can now integrate with Projectworks

Seamlessly integrate with BambooHR to pull your employee time off data and resource your projects efficiently.

With a clearer window into time off into the horizon, mitigate the impacts on both your active and scheduled projects. Employee time off will be up-to-date in Projectworks and exports to payroll accurate!

Read more about the BambooHR integration.

Create expenses in bulk via CSV import

Use the template provided, or extract a list of bills to pay from Xero (QuickBooks Online support coming soon) and bulk create expenses straight from the file!

Whether you're reconciling corporate cards, processing a high volume of staff claims, or planning project costs from a scope, your expense data will flow into Projectworks quickly and accurately.

For access, please email [email protected] using the subject line ‘CSV Expense Import’ and we will enable the feature for you.

Resourcing by Availability - New monthly mode

Resourcing by Availability provides a forward-looking, organization-wide view of workforce capacity.

Using it can help you:

  • Locate who has available capacity when resourcing a project
  • See who is already booked over their available capacity

With the new Monthly mode, you can review capacity and resourcing over a broader time horizon, making it easier to support longer-term planning and high-level workload management.

The Decision Tree That Tells You How Much Proposal Effort Is Enough

Problem: “I want my team’s proposals to look polished enough to win bigger clients, but we can't decide when or if design and detailed content moves the needle or just adds noise. Every time we sit down to approach one, we get pulled between making it visually compelling, and keeping it clean and direct. From Ops Lead to COO: What It Actually Takes to Make the Jump

There are plenty of brilliant delivery leaders in professional services. People who keep complex projects moving, clients happy, and teams focused. They're good at what they do. (Often very good.) But a ceiling exists and most of them hit it. Not because they lack skill. Not because they haven't put in the time. But because the thing that makes someone a great delivery operator is not the same thing that makes them a credible executive. In our latest podcast episode, Projectworks CEO Mark Orttung sat down with Joanna Moore (COO at OCM and a 20-year professional services veteran across Australia, Europe, and APAC) to unpack what that transition actually looks like.
