We're excited to announce that our Consulting CRM and Proposals are now available for anyone to use or try out. In just three months, a fast-growing group of firms have been running their pipeline and proposals in Projectworks as part of our early access group, and the results have blown us away.

Join other firms building millions in pipeline and winning more work
In the last month, we've seen rapid adoption. In September alone, nearly 200 consultants tried our CRM and Proposals for the first time, and close to one in five firms on Projectworks started using it. The feedback so far has been incredibly positive:
Even better, the firms using it are seeing real results. Here a few of the highlights:
- Firms so far have been able to triple their deal visibility within just a few weeks of switching, actively managing tens of millions of dollars of pipeline in Projectworks.
- We've seen users generate over 80% of client-ready proposals directly from templates.
- Firms have had deals started with the tool closing in the mid six figures.
A special thank you to all of our design partners and early access firms, whose extensive feedback has shaped these features. You told us exactly what you need and expect from these tools, and they’re better because of it.
Why did we build a CRM inside Projectworks?
Traditional CRMs aren’t built for how professional services firms operate. They were made for companies selling a product to people they've never met, so they count deals, route leads and treat the sale as finished once it closes. For most SMB consulting firms, they are also prohibitively expensive.
Consulting firms work differently. Most of your work comes from clients who already trust you, the work is won through a relationship, and your proposals are crucial for communicating with your client.
Additionally, when the pipeline lives in one system and delivery lives in another, the numbers get retyped at every step, and the project rarely matches what was sold.
That’s why we built a CRM for consulting firms, and put it inside Projectworks. The deal you win and the project you deliver are built from the same numbers, giving you one source of truth, saving you time, and helping you to win and deliver profitable projects.
Here’s why we think a Consulting CRM is a better fit for many firms:

How does the Projectworks CRM and Proposals work?
Your pipeline, the way your firm sells
Set up deal stages that match how your firm already sells. Every deal keeps its owner, value, probability and close date together with its proposals, notes and working budget, and you get a weighted forecast for every stage.

AI-powered Proposals that look like your best work

Our editor is built specifically for producing high quality professional services proposals, with a library of reusable blocks for your methodology, case studies, pricing and team bios. Upload a past proposal and it’s turned it into a reusable template. Paste in your bid details and AI fills in the variables, use Ask AI to tighten, expand or simplify any wording. AI does the heavy lifting, and you still hold the pen.
Send, sign and start the project

When you're ready, share your proposal through a secure link with an optional password and expiry date, or export it to Word (PDF export also coming soon). Clients sign directly inside the document. Once a proposal is accepted, you can create the project in one step, with the proposal's agreed pricing already in the budget. No retyping required.
What's coming next for our CRM and Proposals
Coming up this quarter:
- Price a deal in phases or options, and see every contact and team member on a deal.
- View your pipeline on a kanban board, track win rate and forecast on a dashboard, add notes to deals, search everything, and export to PDF.
- Paste in a call transcript or RFP and your AI Agent Kea drafts the deal for you. You'll also be able to collaborate on proposals in real time, add your own deal fields and save budget templates.
Plenty of this list came straight from our early access firms telling us what they needed. Jump in now and you'll help shape what comes next.

E-invoicing sends invoices straight into your client's finance system via Peppol. Here's what NZ and Australian firms need to know and fix first.

Most pipeline coverage advice is written for SaaS. Here's how a consulting firm sets coverage by deal stage and plans for the clients it will lose.

Let’s say a consulting firm signs a $30,000 engagement in July and invoices the full fee upfront. The client pays quickly and the cash lands, but the work runs from July through September. By the end of July the firm has completed about one-third of the engagement - the project’s on track but the finance team have some work to do to match revenue with the costs incurred (the “matching principle” of having costs and revenue in the same period is a key accounting concept). Only a third of the project’s fee has been earned (because only a third of the work has been done), and the remaining $20k of revenue is deferred to a future period.
