Projectworks Product Update: January 2026

Happy New Year! To kick things off, we're sharing our new, smoother connection between Schedule, Resourcing, and Forecasting. Plus, do you use our QuickBooks Online or HubSpot integrations? We've added new QBO classes and enabled HubSpot Line Items to create Budgets in Projectworks, saving you valuable billable time.

Scheduling is now connected to Resourcing and Forecasting

We’ve introduced a new way to keep your project Forecasts up to date - directly from your Schedule page. You can now use the new Publish to Forecasts action (in addition to the Publish to Resourcing action) on the Schedule page to instantly update your project’s monthly forecasts.

This feature takes the latest timecode allocations and pushes them into your forecasts, ensuring your financial projections always reflect your current plans.

Discover even more budget data at your fingertips

We have added four new audit metadata columns to the Budgets list page:

  • Created By
  • Created Date
  • Updated By
  • Updated Date

These columns are available for both Budget and Timecode records.

Use HubSpot Line Items to create Budgets in Projectworks

We’ve added the ability to use HubSpot Line Items to create Budgets in Projectworks, giving you the ability to get project budget breakdown straight from your HubSpot Deals.

Read more about how to create Budgets from HubSpot deal line items.

QuickBooks Classes flow from invoices, expenses, and purchase orders in Projectworks

You can now select a QuickBooks Class for invoice lines, expenses, and purchase orders in Projectworks, removing the need to manually set the class information in QuickBooks after export.

Read more how to use QuickBooks Classes on invoices or on expenses and purchase orders.

👋 This is my last Product Update, as I will be moving into a new role in February. I have loved sharing the latest from the Projectworks world with you for the last year!

Don't worry, there are so many exciting features in development that you'll hear about soon 🚀

Your Best Proposal Content? It's Hiding

Most professional services firms have more good content than they realise. The problem isn't that it doesn't exist, it’s that it lives in different, unconnected places and no one has full visibility over it. When a new RFP lands, you feel the pain immediately. Someone opens the last similar proposal and starts copying from it. Someone else messages a colleague for the right case study. By the time the first draft is circulating, the team has spent their most focused hours on logistics that should have been solved before the bid started.
