Projectworks now integrates with leading project management solutions, including Monday.com, syncing project delivery with resourcing and financials automatically. Eliminate double data entry and get real-time margin visibility. Learn how it works.

Run a professional services or engineering consultancy for long enough and you'll know this pattern well: delivery lives in your project management tool, and finance and resourcing lives somewhere else, and someone is stuck bridging the gap by hand (usually a project manager on a Friday afternoon and often on a spreadsheet).

We're changing that.

Projectworks are rolling out new integrations with the project management platform consultancies are  already using to run delivery, starting today with Monday.com with more platforms coming soon.

The idea is simple: wherever your team plans and delivers work, Projectworks becomes the financial and resourcing engine running behind it. Now, you can keep using best-in-class delivery tools without giving up the financial control a growing firm needs.

Two great tools, one expensive gap

Tools like Monday.com are where a lot of great consultancies plan projects and run delivery. They're flexible, visual, and easy for teams to pick up. But delivery tools were never built to carry the financial side of running a services business: utilisation, capacity planning, time and expense tracking, and margin reporting all need a separate, purpose-built engine behind them. (Spoiler: that's what Projectworks is best at.)

As a result, firms end up duplicating data entry across two systems and making resourcing or pricing decisions on numbers that are already stale by the time someone's pulled them together. Every hour spent reconciling tools is an hour wasted, and multiplied across an entire team, that takes a real hit on margin.

One workflow, however you deliver

Here’s how it all works.

Your delivery team keeps planning phases and tasks in the project management tool they already know. While Projectworks takes care of resourcing, utilisation, and financial reporting behind the scenes.

When your team creates a new project in your project management tool, the integration will automatically create a new project in Projectworks and sync across any relevant data e.g. start date, budget, time codes. As projects progress in your delivery tool, the project data in Projectworks will remain up to date. For example, if a project gets delayed, this will automatically sync change the project dates in Projectworks.

The two systems operate fully in sync, nothing gets lost in the middle, and you can rest assured your dashboards are always up to date.

That means:

  • No more double data entry between project boards and financial reporting.
  • Real-time visibility into project revenue and profitability (not last month's numbers).
  • Resource managers get a truly accurate view of team capacity and utilisation.
  • Projects stay on time and on budget because the right people and skills are visible at every stage.

By connecting delivery, resourcing, and financial workflows, firms achieve around 60% time savings through automation and consolidated data, while improving resource utilisation by up to 50% within six months. This integration gives project, finance, and leadership teams a single source of truth, significantly increasing financial accuracy and margin visibility.

Built for the whole firm, not just one team

Resource managers now get capacity planning grounded in what's actually happening in delivery. Finance leads get accurate, real-time margin and revenue data without chasing project managers for updates. Operations and delivery leads get one source of truth instead of two conflicting ones. And executives get a clear, current view of how profitable each engagement really is.

First up: Projectworks & Monday.com

Monday.com is the first platform we're connecting with and it’s live today. It's where a lot of professional services firms already plan and run projects, making it a natural place to start.

What's next

Monday.com is just the start. We're rolling out more integrations so that whatever project management platform you use, Projectworks can plug in and become the resourcing and financial layer to delivering profitable projects on top of it.

The big picture here: provide a complete operating model for professional services by combining the power and insight of Projectworks with your preferred project delivery tools, keeping delivery, resources, and profit margin in sync.

Stronger in sync, built for professional services

Delivery platforms and Projectworks are both excellent at what they do individually. Together, they give consulting firms a complete operating model — the project delivery in the tool of your choice and resource and financial control of Projectworks, with everything in sync.
