What Is SOC 2?

System and Organization Controls (SOC) is a suite of services provided by independent CPA practitioners that examines the controls an organization has in place across its systems. A SOC 2 examination specifically looks at controls relevant to security and how well an organization's systems are designed and operating to protect the data entrusted to them.

Importantly, SOC 2 is an examination, not a certification. It's a rigorous, independent review and completing it means we've had our security controls scrutinized by a qualified third party, not just assessed against a checklist that we designed ourselves.
