Projectworks Product Update: August 2025

The Product team has been hard at work making Projectworks more transparent, flexible, and easier to use.
This month’s updates give you clearer visibility into platform performance; make it easier to understand utilization and build custom reports; and enable more efficient API calls.
Stay informed with our new real-time status page

You can now track Projectworks’ platform performance at any time through our new real-time status page.
This gives you full visibility into platform uptime - so you can feel confident knowing exactly how the platform is performing.
This page can be accessed from the footer of the Projectworks website, or simply bookmark the link below.
Easier reporting with custom fields in the Utilization Target report
We’ve made it easier to view and report on utilization data by adding custom fields to the Utilization Target report - specifically, User (People) custom fields. This helps you analyze utilization in more ways, to match your reporting needs.

Better invoiced amount breakdowns in custom reporting
Custom reporting just got more powerful. You can now view a clearer invoiced amount breakdown per project in the Reporting – Projects view, helping you understand revenue at a more granular level.

Reuse saved questions when building new ones
If you're using custom reporting, you may have been frustrated that you couldn't "build off" previous questions. With the latest update, you can now leverage previously saved questions when creating a new question. This makes it easier to incrementally build complex reports from small queries.

More efficient API calls with new parameters
For teams using our API, we’ve added new parameters (UserID and ProjectID) to the Get Projects and Get Tasks endpoints. This change means you can make a single API call to identify both the projects and timecodes a person is assigned to, as well as the timecodes that are associated with a project.
